The Big Island Chapter of the Hawaii Association of Public Accountants (HAPA) recently awarded four scholarships totaling $3,500 to students pursuing two-year and four-year accounting degrees. Applicants are judged based on academic achievements, involvement in extracurricular activities, a personal letter of introduction and financial need.
The Big Island Chapter of the Hawaii Association of Public Accountants (HAPA) recently awarded four scholarships totaling $3,500 to students pursuing two-year and four-year accounting degrees. Applicants are judged based on academic achievements, involvement in extracurricular activities, a personal letter of introduction and financial need.
The four awardees for the 2014-2015 academic year include Christa Lum, a 2011 Waiakea High School graduate now attending Gonzaga University; Geraldine Padilla, a 2010 Keaau High School attending the University of Hawaii at Hilo; Adam Onishi, a 2014 Waiakea High School graduate who will be attending the University of Hawaii at Hilo; and Jubylen Teehee, who attends Hawaii Community College.
